Special Combination: Cano Island & Corcovado (San Pedrillo Station)

Your journey begins at Ballena Aventura, our base of operations. After a brief check-in, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the rich history of Ballena Bay before arriving at Uvita Beach, the gateway to Ballena National Marine Park. Here, we’ll board our boat for an exciting combination tour of two natural wonders: Cano Island Biological Reserve and Corcovado National Park. Cano Island is renowned for boasting one of Costa Rica’s healthiest coral reefs, making it a snorkeling and diving paradise. Corcovado National Park is a global hotspot of biodiversity, teeming with life. Our boat ride, lasting approximately an hour and twenty minutes, offers a fantastic opportunity to spot whales and dolphins during their respective seasons.

Upon reaching Cano Island, you’ll have two hours to explore the underwater world through snorkeling. Afterward, we’ll head to San Pedrillo Station for a refreshing break. Enjoy the beach, relax in the green areas, or freshen up in the facilities. Then, embark on a one-hour hike to a hidden waterfall for a revitalizing swim.

Recommendations

Restrictions on Cano Island:

  • “It is not allowed to eat in the terrestrial zone of the Cano Island Biological Reserve nor to use sanitary toilets”.
  • There are no such restrictions in Corcovado National Park.
  • Not suitable for pregnant women of high risk, nor children under 02 years of age.
